Constantin Brancusi playing golf, Fontainebleau, 25 Sept. 1923 Brancusi was initiated to golf by John Quinn, an american lawyer, a fan and buyer of Brancusi’s works and Brancusi became a fan of golf. That day, he played with John Quinn, Jeanne Robert Foster and Henri-Pierre Roché. Erik Satie was present to watch and make comments… As Brancusi stroke the ball too hard, Satie said: «Golf was invented by the British and Anglo-Saxons.
